February Artist Spotlight: The Lone Palms

Our Artist Spotlight pick for February is local band The Lone Palms. With members from England, Boston, and Manitoba, the local Vancouver music scene became the centre of bringing the group together. Having formed their musical identities through years of session work, drunken jams, broken bands and the quest for the ultimate good time's playlist, they have been listed as ones to watch here in Vancouver.

These '90s kids with their hearts in the '60s/’70s ended off 2019 by shaking off all of our winter blues with their holiday anthem single release ‘Keen For the Holidays’. Within the last year, The Lone Palms also recorded their EP ‘Fun and Games’ at the Armoury Studios and released the four songs in October. The EP represents A step in the direction they hope to expand on in the New Year. After ending off their 2019 on such a high note, they’ve got their sights set on an incredible 2020 with multiple single releases in the mix.

Their first released track of the year is called 'Orange Juice' and is one of the band’s oldest songs that will finally shine in the spotlight upon its release this February. You can keep an eye out for the live video of ‘Orange Juice’ and other upcoming releases via the buttons below. In addition to releases, The Lone Palms will be headlining the Leap Year show at the Railway Stage and Beer Cafe on Saturday, February 29th with guests Leah Barley, The Noodle Boys, and Sam Dowdell. You can grab your tickets for the show below and expect The Lone Palms live show experience to hit you like a fresh breeze of ol’ school rock and grunge-Americana.
