March Artist Spotlight: Collision Course

Live Acts Canada’s Artist Spotlight pick for March is local band Collision Course. The hard rock performers are based out of Vancouver, BC and are going to crash and make an explosion in the local music scene with their hard-hitting, high energy, and explosive original hits.

After meeting in 2019 out of sheer luck, the quartet quickly bonded over their passion for music and on creating music together that could be an escape for listeners, allowing them to feel exactly like the band feels once they get up the stage and perform together. Their band name is drawn from everyday struggles they and with their listeners are vulnerable to in today’s world. While a member was venting about his problems one day, someone told him “It sounds like you’re on a Collision Course” and that's when the words just clicked. Since their inception, the band has quickly gained momentum here in our local music scene. They were featured in the October issue of Stencil Magazine and even won a Whammy award for the best rock band.

Since then, the band has been working away in the studio crafting their upcoming releases with Juno award-winning producer Tommy Mac. The forthcoming tracks are set to be released in 2020. In addition to all the work they are putting in behind the scenes, they have been performing live on stages around Vancouver more and more frequently these days. You can catch Collision Course with special guests The Lily Dippers, Grit And Ivory, The Segues, and Strathcona on Friday, March 13th at the Astoria.
