Artist Spotlight: Midnight Cruiser
Hailing from Richmond, BC, Midnight Cruiser is a young, powerhouse rock band making waves with their electrifying original music and high-energy live shows. Rooted in the classic sounds of the ’70s, they take inspiration from rock’s golden eras while forging a sound that’s fresh, raw, and undeniably their own.
With hard-hitting originals and a killer stage presence, Midnight Cruiser isn’t just another cover band—they’re bringing new rock anthems to life while still paying homage to the legends. Their dynamic performances have lit up stages at The Roxy, The Blarney Stone, Portside, the Salmon Festival and The Buck & Ear Pub, proving they’re a must-see act in Vancouver’s live music scene.
For those who haven’t heard you yet, how would you describe your sound? What are some of your key influences as a band?
Inspired greatly by the classics tunes of the seventies, Midnight Cruiser embodies the crossroads of Rock, Blues, and Country. Our music is built to make foot’s tap, head’s nod, and hip’s swing. Whether you’re a die hard rock fan, or just a looking for a night out on the town, Midnight Cruiser brings the energy and presence to make your night.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, what are some of the bands goals this year?
The focus for the remainder of the year is to capture our sound on record and put out an LP bye year end. We want to move past being a just cover band to really step into our own sound and identity.
If you could be a part of your own dream festival, could be with any artist from any time period/any genre. Who would be your top 3 acts on the festival?
The Sheepdogs
